Brighid Burnes was born in Orange County, California in 1997. She received her BFA in Fine Arts at California Institute of the Arts in 2022. From a young age, Brighid has focused on large scale drawing and painting, sculpture, as well as exploring the culinary arts. Her work delves into the intricacies of the human condition, weaving together threads from abnormal psychology, culinary arts, anatomy, and the enigmatic realms of subconscious spaces. Her large-scale drawings serve as expansive canvases that seek to evoke a sense of the uncanny, drawing viewers into visual narratives that oscillate between the dissociative and the surreal.
